That's because Flash is its way out and Adobe knows it. iOS never
allowed it, then they dropped support on Android, then Linux and
Solaris... it's just a matter of time until OSX and Windows are dropped too.

Unfortunately the rest of the world disagrees and releases content in flash format. Now, if you make movies and get money from ad clicks for people watching them, you use what the people watch, and have a number of formats available. However, if you are a company and made an instructional video for your product which people watch for free, you don't care if people can't watch it, they can get the viewer or pay you to come service the product.

And that's why flash is a must for me, because I need to information and will do what I need to to be able to view it. Market pressure at it finest.
