Hi
I have set my imap email account so that the password is not remembered
and no messages are saved locally.
If I don't enter the password then I can't open any emails.
If I enter the password then I'll be able to read emails until I close
the window.
I was wondering if this is the only way to stop receiving messages once
you have typed in your password. Isn't there some sort of "disconect"
command? Is closing the mail window unavoidably the only way to
disconnect the account and leave it as if you had not entered the
password?
Thanks

If you do not want the mail to load automatically, does this setting in about:config prevent that?
mail.server.default.download_on_biff - set to false

Or what about this setting?
mail.server.server<X>.check_new_mail - where X is a number and set to false
