1) What I do not understand about 2.0, is where does it store it's data ?
1.x stored it's data in .mozilla
So where will 2.0 store it after the migration ?
2) They refer to registry.dat. I cannot find such a file in .mozilla
doing a grep.
This must be referring to windows only?

This is for Linux not Windows:
I have a few leftover 1.x seamonkey accounts I want to migrate over to 2.x
1) From the documentation at mozilla, it says I must first install 2.0
in order to import to 2.0 and migrate all data.
2) Then I can migrate up to 2.x x>0.
I downloaded 2.0 and extracted it in a directory on the system.
I then went to a user account (containing a working .mozilla directory)
and started seamonkey from the extracted directory.
Well nothing happened and 2.0 started as if there was no .mozilla present.
So where did I go wrong ?
