Go to the sent folder as if you are trying to display your sent
messages, then click View in the menu bar then click Messages then click
All. See if that shows them.

Thanks, Danny. That fixed the problem. Somehow "unread" was checked. I
certainly don't remember doing that and it was working normally yesterday.
