Once in a while, I noticed my sent draft e-mails leaves a copy behind
in my SeaMonkey's Local Folders' Drafts folder. I have not yet to
figure out the pattern why this happens once in a while. Has anyone
noticed this too?

I don't use whatever Seamonkey means by Local Folders (embarrassed to
say after decades with this suite that I've never figured out its
purpose).

You don't see your posts to this newsgroup in the Sent folder under
Local folders? It's where all 1420 of my sent messages are stored.

Nope. Not sure why not. I only see my newsgroups posting in the actual
newsgroup; not in any Sent folders. That's not a problem to me.

Bill, have a look at Edit->Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings ( *Note* : *NOT* Edit->Preferences->Mail &
Newsgroups), select an newsgroup account, select "Copies & Folders" for that account and have a look at
the top section, "When sending messages". Have you told SM where to Automatically place a copy in:??

That's where your posts to these newsgroups should be stored.
Looked there; it indicates my renamed version of Local Folders. But the sent
messages aren't there, not sure why. No drafts there either; but I don't know
that I've ever saved a draft newsgroup posting.

Really not a problem to me -- just a curiosity!

Also where drafts go if you save a post as a draft, so you can
proofread it, before sending.

I save draft emails all the time because I may work on them over a
period of hours or even days, and SM tends to crash from time to time
(usually the browser, but that takes down the whole suite).

I don't think I've ever saved a draft post to a newsgroup; I often print
them to proofread them before posting, but that's about it!

The screen I mentioned above also indicates where any drafts for that account
are stored, or allows you to set where they should be stored.
