As previously noted, those point to the Sent etc. folders for the
relevant accounts.

If you don't have it set for other folders then of course copies will
not be made. Maybe you disabled them 20-plus years ago.
I spose. Or perhaps somewhere in the course of the various migrations my
personalized settings were not overridden when Local Folders was
introduced. That's why I said earlier it seems to matter when you joined
NS/M/SM. Or maybe what matters is that I've always had multiple accounts
within one profile, each with its own settings.
