what is happening in Thunderbird.

would be willing to maintain different behaviour from Thunderbird.
However, it wouldn't hurt - with a bug report they will know what users
want.
Feature can be requested. If dev's want it this way we need some choice
freedom in options like "remember last dictionary" in settings.
