I have SM opened (WINDOW number 1) with all my mail-accounts, local
folders and newsgroup on the left of the screen an a list of mails on
the right with under a preview of a selected mail.
If I initiate a "reply" of one of those mails located in the right-upper
par of the SM window, another separate window (WINDOW number 2) is
opened with the mail quoted - then I begin to type my reply texte.
And suddently this window switch in the background letting me face of
the "WINDOW number 1".

How can I avoid this ? ... (expecting be able to continue type my reply
if the "reply-window" (WINDOW number 2) visible and "in front" )

I hope than my explanation is clear and understandable.

Ray, I recall this happening to me some times ago ... maybe SM
2.20something, SM 2.30something, maybe, .... but, sadly, I cannot
recall exactly what the solution was, although, as I type this, I'm
starting to think it might have been a non-compatible add-on or
extension (Java, maybe!!).

Perhaps a re-start in safe mode might help, but that could mean
working without your add-ons or extensions for sometime!!

It could be a good idea, but I avoid starting in safe mode because the
last time (the only one) I have done this test .. SM changed some
options definitively and I don't know all the modifications were done.

O.K., then go into your Tools->Add-ons Manager and disable some of the Extension/Plug-ins. If the operation of SM doesn't change, re-enable those Extensions/Plug-ins and disable some others.

Keep doing this until you have given SM a good work out with all of the Extensions/Plug-ins disabled. Hopefully you might find which Extension/Plug-in is causing the problem.

All Extensions/Plug-ins in my windows10 pc are the same as with my window7 pc.
The problem occur only with my Windows10 pc.
I think that Windows10 take the process for per example examinating my Facebook account to see if there is something new... and also look at other parts of my pc. When finished, windows give the focus to SM .... SM put in foreground the window-number-1 instead of window-number-2 which had the foreground/focus before.
