I discovered that the MS updates filled up my main partition. I
cleaned up and cleared out and presume that contributed to the
problem, perhaps causing corruption.
My Windows 7 System Drive (C:\) is getting pretty full. Which
directories did you "clean up and clear out", please??
Windows has tools for that.
One that seems appropriate here is under Advanced and allows you to nuke
fallback-points for previous updates.
