This happens with links from many Emails, but not all.

If I change my default browser to FireFox or Microsoft Edge, these links
all open properly. I could come up with many more examples. They all
give different messages and, as you can see, the redirected url's are
different.

I have tried a different profile with the same results.

Does anyone else have this problem? It first started happening several
weeks ago.

Windows 7 Ultimate
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101
        SeaMonkey/2.46
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101
Thunderbird/52.1.1 with Protocols: POP3 and SMTP

I do not see this problem.

You might have a corrupted DNS cache. Try the following:

1. In Windows, open a command window. If you cannot find the entry in
your Start list, go to
        C:\Windows\System32
and double-click
        cmd.exe

2. Paste the following at the blinking cursor in the Administrator:DOS
window:
        C:\WINDOWS\system32\ipconfig.exe /flushdns
NOTE WELL: To paste, DO NOT use Ctrl-V. Instead, right-click on the
window's title bar and select [Edit > Paste] in the pull-down menu.

3. On your keyboard, press Enter.

4. Paste the following at the blinking cursor:
        C:\WINDOWS\system32\ipconfig.exe /registerdns
Again, use the paste method from step #2.

5. On your keyboard, press Enter.

6. Wait until you see:
Registration of the DNS resource records for all adapters of this
computer has been initiated. Any errors will be reported in the Event
Viewer in 15 minutes.

7. At the blinking cursor, type:
        exit

If this does not help, you might have a virus that is causing redirects.
That is, it causes a request to a particular URI to resolve to a
different URI. In that case, a scan with your anti-virus application
would be appropriate.

Yes, clicking on those links from this email works fine, but clicking on the links from the original email gives the results shown above.

I just now got an email from NewEgg about a hard disk drive with a newly reduced price. If I leave SeaMonkey as my default browser, right clicking the link to "open in browser" for the price gives me this, which produces an error message:

http://email.triggermail.io/mpss/c/6QA/PxAeAA/t.27z/ndNiuJANT9O2VsvswdcCBw/h16/C5H7aTfxNMPybwKTtwTyvke7EKCfREz423bVjfcvhVN-2FZoGsU956Kw3IpVsy-2FyJGepzdLAeRNxtFQnSGcQTo4C06XBLxvOvASDYCyoLWyTLklGmabWpHfHmZ5D7vju-2Fu3BkMzqYwIby6-2FM1sPOq17LK3QylBXiLyLuvXCTnLsvvP

Right clicking and using the same choice on the link with either FireFox or Edge set as my default Browser correctly directs me to:

One thing I did notice was that the first url shown (the incorrect one) flashes in the url panel and then changes to the second (correct) url immediately in the other two browsers, but this does not happen in SeaMonkey. I went back to the originals of the first examples that I gave and saw that the same thing was occurring, I just had not noticed it earlier. Apparently there is some sort of redirection that SeaMonkey does not make.
