I use Seamonkey exclusively for newsgroups and Tunderbird for eMail.

Seamonkey opens with the files are attached BUT since I have nothing set

More important HOW DO I STOP IT ?

Running on Windows 10 Home.

MozUser, you need to remember that SM is a single suite so if you tell one part of SM to do something which, natively, another part of the Suite can do, SM will just start up the other portion .... and away you go!!

However, it is possible to tell SM to use a totally seperate e-mail program, without it effecting your news reader preference, I think.

Have a look at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Mail_and_news_settings#Mail. It may be that you need to alter mail.movemail_program to select Thunderbird when you click on a "Send To eMail recipient" or whatever.
