I wanted to download all the messages from the inbox of my ISP's server. There are a couple of thousand there. I use SMTP  for my mail. How can I download the entire message (s) not just the headers? My browser is Seamonkey 2.40 and  OS is Win 7 (32 bit).  Thanks for your helphg.

for example, create a folder in local folder hierachy
select a message of your inbox, or all if you want Ctrl A, or whatever bunch of them
then messages / copy or move (as you like)/ choose destination folder

(let it go)

after see if you can view these messages offline (I think yes)

When did downloading message bodies with SMTP become available?

I though SMTP was for sending messages.
