Can the present Inbox be given a different file name (allowing it to
be accessed when needed) and a new local inbox file be established?

What is a good way of keep the data that is currently in the present
inbox while at the same time having a empty inbox for new messages?

Create a new folder, name it something like 'Inbox, needs attention' --
then move all the messages in the regular inbox to this new folder. This
may take some time, but it will clear your regular inbox.

Thanks Bill for your reply to my message.

I presently am going message by message to remove those I don't think I need to keep.  It would save a lot of time to simply create a new folder under Local Folders for the messages presently located in my Inbox...thus, I could simply move each message to this folder without having to read it first before making a decision (based on content) to either delete or keep a message. Am I likely to hit another computer generated message that a folder under Local Folders is Full?

Sorry for my delay in responding to your message...it was much appreciated.

Don't forget to "Compact this folder" to gain space.
