Yamo has given me the solution to my activation issue. He did so by
giving me the following information:
You may use the Linux/x86_64 Contrib file :
<https://www.seamonkey-project.org/releases/#contrib>
<https://archive.mozilla.org/pub/seamonkey/releases/2.49.4/contrib/seamonkey-2.49.4.en-US.linux-x86_64.tar.bz2>
I downloaded Seamonkey from this address and I got a working version. I'm
posting this information here in case others had similar issues to mine.
