I think you will find that adding a Yahoo account to SeaMonkey or Thunderbird is no longer possible.

After reading this thread, I just tried adding my Yahoo account to Thunderbird and two things happened (1), the account creator said my password was incorrect and (2) a window appeared with a Yahoo UK & Ireland login. I am not in either the UK or Ireland.

However, when using the password on Yahoo's web site, it worked
perfectly.

I do not know why the window with the UK/Ireland login appeared, but
I closed the window at that point.

Whilst reading all the replies to this post, I remembered that I don't,
really, log into yahoo.con, but, instead, the Australian Yahoo entity,
au.yahoo.com, so have been wondering if this might be the root of my
problem.

Your efforts tend to indicate this could be the case .... I hope not,
though!!
