I've just had a look at the Xfinity site and the settings people have
been providing are correct for IMAP but you're talking about POP. From
what I've read the correct settings for a POP account are:

POP Server: pop3.comcast.net
Port: 995 (That is POP with SSL - They don't say TLS or STARTTLS so try
SSL first)
Username: The implication is that it should be you full email address
but, if that doesn't work, try just the part of your email address before
the @ symbol.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Xfinity show the POP server as pop3.comcast.net NOT
pop.comcast.net (Sorry if I sound like I'm shouting but this is an
important difference).

Also, as long as they stick to the POP, IMAP and SMTP standards, it
really make no difference which email client you use. Since they support
Thunderbird they also support SeaMonkey (even if they say they don't) as
both use the same internals from Mozilla.

I hope this helps fix your problem.
