It's all about the user agent string in which is being presented... The
default seamonkey one works but if you're using an override useragent
sting it can cause problems if it's not what github is 'looking for'
I found the following useragent string works for me on both github & google
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0
One final note is if you 'advertise lighnting' as installed it can cause
problems on mulitple sites with not being able to click on things and
have them work...
I have both advertise firefox compatibility and lightning unchecked with
a useragent override using the above mentioned string.
It seems to me that some sites are having problems handling UA's that
contain more than one program name. Some seem to require the program
that they 'work' with first whilst others seem to require the program
that they 'work' with last!!
Would be interesting, if someone was having problems with a site, if
they where to try the site with a UA or two and see which works, e.g. ....
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 SeaMonkey 2.53.1
Firefox/55.0
or
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/55.0
SeaMonkey 2.53.1
and
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 SeaMonkey 2.53.1
Lightning (Version number)
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:55.0) Gecko/20100101 Lightning
(Version number) SeaMonkey 2.53.1
