Other than hardware suppliers no longer want to support it 8.1 mostly does not suffer from the Win 10 privacy problems and every changing baseline. Installed it, killed the stupid apps and put open shell menu on it. Works, stable and supported till 2023. I never thought I would say anything good about 8.1 but compared to 10 it it heaven. Next one which is ok is Server 2016 but the update times are atrocious. Can Take 2-3h to apply montly patches. Server 2019 like current 10 suffers from lets redo the world twice a year.
