I am considering my options given the loss of support of Win 7 pro here
as well, but I use it only in VirtualBox. I have an option to simply
isolate it from the internet and handle any transfers it requires in the
host system and making the downloads available via shared directory.

Is it simple and cheap enough to update W7pro to W8.1 and make it usable
as you have? Or should I go ahead and isolate w7pro once it is
unsupported as I am currently considering?
