By the way, I have 81 processes but only 4 applications running right now. Usually for me, slow Web browsing is often caused by either a slow Web server or by Internet congestion. Internet congestion can be caused by local neighbors on the same broadband service streaming movies or doing other massive downloads. Neither of those is caused by SeaMonkey or Windows. If the problem is caused by a slow Web server, you can complain to the owner of the Web site. However, it might not be cost-effective for that site to upgrade its server. If the problem is caused by Internet congestion, you can complain to your service provider (ISP). If your ISP is not responsive, check to see if an alternative ISP is available to you. My ISP for broadband is Spectrum. They advertise that their standard service provides downloads at 200 Mbps, but I never get more than 100 Mbps. I had a Spectrum service technician at my house. He tested and concluded that my router (Netgear N300 WNR2000v5) was getting old. Since 100 Mbps is sufficiently fast for me, I will wait until the router actually fails before replacing it. However, I sometimes download application updates from servers that deliver only 5-10 Mbps. Even Microsoft's update server might deliver in that range if many users are trying to get updates all at the same time. -- David E. Ross <http://www.rossde.com/> Beyond Meat and other such vegetarian meat substitutes represent the ultimate in ultra-processed foods. Real meat is natural. Beyond Meat is definitely not. No, I do NOT own a cattle ranch, a butcher shop, or any other business doing commerce in meat. _______________________________________________ support-seamonkey mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-seamonkey
