The very first time you click on the "Window" item on the main browser's Menu Bar, it pops up the expected drop-down list. However, if you move to a different menu item (i.e. the drop-down hides) or you move to a different window and then come back to the main browser window, it no longer works (i.e. clicking it has no effect.)

This only happens using the main browser's Menu bar. The same Window menu item on the Menu Bar of the other windows (mail, composer, etc.) "always" pops up the drop-down list as expected.

Prior versions of SeaMonkey did not exhibit this problem.

I extratced the \chrome\comm\content\communicator\tasksOverlay.xul which contains the code that drives this item from the v2.53.1 omni.ja and compared it to the one in v2.49.5 Seamonkey and found the <menu id="windowMenu" section in the new version contained the following code that was not in the prior version.

           onpopuphidden="windowMenuDidHide();

Removing it and recompiling omni.ja restored the Window menu item on the main browser window to proper functionality.

Unable to reproduce this but this was updated for 2.53.1 Please file a but if possible try with a new test profile. Might be extension related.

Make it "file a bug" not but.
