Not using SeaMonkey as far as I can find.

You can do that with Thunderbird by either selecting each newsgroup you want to mark as read, right-click and select "Mark Newsgroups Read", or select the account level in the Folder pane, right-click and "Mark All Folders Read" from the context menu.

There is a faster way to do that with folders. Just use Cmd-Shift-C or Ctrl-Shift-C on the folder.
