Just got the Arch Linux update. I'm glad to say I did archive my existing
profile, since when I started the new version, I got a blank pane with
nothing working. I've created a new profile and it is working well. Now all
I need is my bookmarks and saved passwords.
Trouble is, I'm not sure which files I need to restore from the backup. I
_think_ I need places.sqlite and logins.json, but I'm not sure, nor am I
sure if I need anything else. Long time since I last had to do this...
Can anyone tell me what files I need to copy over? Thanks.
Along with logins.json, you also need the decryption keys. I have both
key3.db and key4.db in my profile.
Thanks for that. I have both, I'll try that.
What files are needed for the bookmarks now? I'd hate to have to try and
rebuild that collection - it goes back years....
Why don't you try to start SeaMonkey in safe mode. Probably just an old add-on
or language pack in the way.
Please remove key3.db and cert8.db after migration and verification of stored
passwords. I recently was unlucky and needed to test Fx 77 and even there they
I found they are not always removed when upgrading.
