On the "Outgoing Server (SMTP) Settings screen, I have my tpg.com.au
account selected as (Default) with the correct User Name and, I hope,
the correct 'Normal Password' and 'Connection Security' is set to
'SSL/T?S'.
I also use TPG for internet and for the outgoing server I have it set
to mail.tpg.com.au port 25 with security set to none and
authentication set to no authentication. Works just fine for sending
emails.
Thank you for your response, Jonathan, however .....
After changing my tpg.com.au to mail.tpg.com.au and the Port from 995 to
25, I sent a test message to my (other) self ... and, quickly, got told
the same error message as I posted yesterday.
Then I changed to Outgoing Server info to mail.tpg.com.au on Port 25 and
selected no authentication and sent myself a test message .... and it went.
Now I've just got to re-set the changes I made on the receive side to
see if I can download it!!
Absent-mindedly, I responded to an e-mail that I had received on my TPG
e-mail account and thought nothing about it for a while .... and then
realised that I had sent it from my SM M & N screen, so it seems that
side of things is now working.
Thank You.
