I just downloaded freenet and during the setup a message comes up that says;

Error opening file for writing:"C:\Program Files\freenet\freenet.exe"
Hit abort to abort installation, retry to retry writing the file, or ignore
to skip the file

it also has the indicated buttons (abort, retry and ignore). I tried each.
Abort obviously closes the installation. Retry gives me the exact same
message, and ignore continues the installation. Further along the
installation, the locating java runtimes window pops up and another message
comes up that says;

A java interprator could not be found.
Please install the Java Runtime Environment.
See http://java.sun.com/ for more information.

I went to java.sun.com and downloaded the java environment and the program
still can't find the interprator. The window for the locating runtimes
window wouldn't go away, so I pressed ctrl+alt+delete and closed it
manually. Then the installation completes but Freenet won't start!

I'm using version 0.3.9.1 on Windows 98. I downloaded teh Sun java program.
  That's what it said to include at your website, so that's what I included.
  Please reply with some help, I need it! Thank you!
