Hi
I'm having real problems connecting to freenet. I have
an adsl connection via a router which I have
configured to allow incoming connects on freenets
listen port to the computer running the node.

If I click on one of the links provided by the freenet
proxy I receivce the error

" The request couldn't even make it off of your node.
Try again, perhaps with the GPL to help your node
learn about others. The publicly available seed nodes
have been very busy lately. If possible try to get a
friend to give you a reference to their node instead."

I've searched the web for more seed nodes to add into
the seednode.ref file but this has made no difference.
One of the sites I pulled the seed nodes from was
updated as recently as the 18th December 2002. No luck
with these.

If I look at the "Node Reference Status" link from
within the Node Status page It shows that I only have
1 connected node. It also displays how many successful
connecion attempts have been made to each node. All of
them display 0% apart from one node.

The only thing I've managed pull down from freenet is
the GPL lic page. All the other supplied links in the
freenet proxy are not connecting.

Am I doing somthing wrong? I've had a look round to
see if anyone else is having similar problems but all
I've read is how great it is.

What can I try to improve chances of connecting into
freenet?
