I have no idea what OS he's running, let alone which 'temp'
directory he's specifically referring to.
btw my ./freenet/freenet/store_*/temp dir is empty, and I do not
regularly delete the files manually.
Not surprising. It is cleaned out on node startup.
That doesn't do any good for long running permanent nodes.
There shouldn't be any files in the 'temp' directory older
than a few minutes or hours at the longest.
Besides I've restarted the node many times during the time
that the 1200 files were collecting.
In the 16 hours or so since I cleared the directory it's
already up to 33 files and over 5meg. Multiply this by a
couple of months of continuous running and its adds UP!

Will Mr. Baldwin please elucidate?
OS = XP
directory = store_*/temp
