Have you configured the Ipaddress properly if you are > NAT:ed? Have you read what it says in the log? Yes I have and I believe I did set it up correctly. The XP machine is behind a NAT, but the init file does specifically state my real world IP (per the docs). And the log doesn't show any startup errors after I got the init file edited correctly.
