I'm working on setting up a freenet node on a machine running FreeBSD 4.6. The java vm that is already installed (and is the most current version) is a java 1.3 vm. Sun does not release a vm for the BSDs. At the moment I'm planing on compiling the jdk from the source provided by sun with the freebsd patches (www.freebsd.org/java). Any advice?
