I suggest you scrutinise www.freenethelp.org and see if you can find any useful hints there. Your situation is not unique, and there are some possible reasons mentionned on the wiki, but it still could be that it doesn't apply in your case. For instance, I suspect that people that have a router/firewall still have more difficulties running (connecting) it, even though the new builds are supposed to work without a prob even if you have one. I'm wondering though...can anyone, preferably a devl, explain to me what exactly is the deal in regard to that? DOES it work now 'out of the box', or do you need to adapt your configuration (NAT, port,...) and if so to what degree. Pls make a clear and understandable (for noobs) explanation so that I can copy&paste it on the wiki. (Also if there are other likely opinions on why a node can't connect after hours are welcommed).
