Yes, you have to forward ports if you're behind NAT, regardless of the DMZ. All that DMZ really does is that router doesn't perform any traffic filtering for it by default, not that it can magically understand that connections on this certain port should be forwarded to that specific IP address behind NAT. Also, make sure, if possible, that you really can connect to Freenet node from the outside - just do a telnet to your external IP:port from some outside account and see if TCP connection will be established.
