How much is an asston? 68% of what? I have always found my node to happily sit under Wrapper Max memory usage but mine is set to 1G. 256MB is probably not enough. I would unload as many plugins as you can ( http://127.0.0.1:8888/plugins/) try running your node with no plugins for a bit and see if your pc is still usable.
