Hi Jelbert. Exchanging by usb stick you give personally is safe. Mail and forums are very unsafe. You can make mail safe however by using GPG, you and your friend both need to use it. You need eachothers public key, you use it to encrypt mail only you and your friend can read. You can sign your message by your secret key, your friend knows for sure the message is by you. Not even the NSA is known to be able to crack GPG. I think everyone who is privacy-aware must use GPG as much as he can. I am privacy aware, for that reason this is an anonymous mail.
