Do you have any other applications running while you try to run ebase? What
utilities or other extensions start up with Mac OS 9? Are you running ebase
in its "runtime" version (which you downloaded) or with FileMaker Pro (I
sus[pect the latter). If FileMaker, which version?
As soon as we identify the solution, you will probably want to start with a
brand spanking fresh copy of ebase to prevent file corruption which can
occur if your system crashes. It's also a good time to invest in a backup
system, even if we prevent the kinds of crashes you are currently
experiencing.
