John, my sympathies...the very next afternoon (I hadn't seen the posts) I did the 
exact same thing! To stop the addition, I tried  esc and F1, then Ctrl Alt Del. Big
mistake. Consultant Jack Noll, a wizard and such a big help, said, "NEVER EVER stop 
Filemaker Pro mid-process." Thank goodness I had a good backup and with some help
from Jack got back most of what I lost. Wow and weird, eh?!
