Good utility to have, and they are free. Search the net for WinZip
(Windows) or Stuffit Expander (Mac) and download a copy sometime.

These two fields will be imported into the payments file (it's a
separate step from the names data import) and are called:

>Amount of donation

Amount

>Date of donation

Post Date

Yep.

All the ebase fields are in the ebase file set. When you import the
data, you get the opportunity to match the fields from your data file
with the appropriate fields in the ebase names file (and in a second
process, the payments file). When you names the fields for import you
are just making it easy on yourself to match the right fields.
