2 Main Problems:
1. problem started in v1.02 and was not corrected when conversion to
v1.03 took place
-- on some records -- on home page the first field (name field next to
record number) is blank eventhough the name and address field below (the
one that looks like a label) is filled in. It is not possible to add
the correct name into the 1st field even while using master password.
When we converted to v1.03 the problem still exists.
How do we correct this? Should we simply delete the record and create a
new one and add all the info back in?
2. conversion of some data from v1.02 to v1.03 did not occur properly
-- I followed the instructions ... exporting from a v.102 to a temporary
file (we also converted from FM Pro 4.1 to 5). and then importing the
temp file into v.1.03. When I got to the prompting window where fields
from old to new needed to be in alignment I noticed a problem .... some
of the data fields (important ones like payments data) on the left hand
column (v1.02) didn't have a strong arrow showing that they would be
trasfered into the right column (v.103). Instead there was the o with
line through it = no action (eg. summations of payments, summationYTD,
etc). Attempts to override this to make the data transfer could not be
done. At first I dind't think anything of it.
THEN ... while in v.103 on home page, the payments summation fields at
the bottom of the home page had $figures listed, but going to View
Payments page prompted a window to pop up saying that no payments info
was listed and did I want to proceed anyways. If I pressed yes button I
got a blank payments page ... then upon returning to the home page, all
of the payments info that had been there, have disappeared.
What's going on? Is it a glitch in the program? I think the problem
lies with the importation field process ... any way to fix this?
