Put a '=' (no quotes) in the field in question.  This will not work for all types of 
field (date or time for example) but will always work for text.

BTW, I very highly recommend that you read the section on finds in the Filemaker Pro 
manual.  There's a lot of not-so-obvious stuff you can do.
