I'm relatively new to ebase, but I'll take a crack at this one.

Try using the omit function. Use the find function (on the payments screen)
and select records that have more than $1 (to avoid getting records with no
donations). Then select "new request" and omit records with less than $100.
Do another new request and omit records dated before 1/1/98. Then click
"find."

>From your description it's not clear if you want to find people who have
donated $100 in a single contribution or people who contributed $100 in a
calendar year (i.e. two contributions of $50 or more within the same year).
If it's the latter then this technique will not work.

I just ran a quick test on our database and it seemed to be returning the
right records. You will probably want to do a fairly careful inspection of
the returned records to make sure my technique is really working.

Hope this helps.

Subject: [support] Query Assistance... please

Our organization has been struggling with e-base for some time now and
consistently have problems. If anyone who can help with our current
problem I will be eternally grateful.

I am trying to find donors who have:
donated between 1/1/1998...3/2/2001, and,
donated more than $99.

I have entered these items in the query form, view #2 (date in the "post
date" field, dollar amount attempted in both the "amount" field and the
"max gift" field.) No success. I keep pulling up people who have donated
less than $99 in that time frame.

I have tried the same within the "Find" "Payments" screens, again, no
luck.

Reviewing past questions on the listserv a similar question was answered
saying that a "tricky" way to do it is by changing the "definition of
fiscal year to the desired calendar range in the setup file." but I do not
know how to do this. Obviously, if there is an easier way to fix this I
would prefer that.

It seems that this SHOULD be a simple query which organizations must ask
regularly.

Thank you for all help/suggestions,

Jeremy
