Ileen:

        I don't know if your problem is the same as mine but I have discovered
that in FileMaker -- if the line of the field box in your layout touches or
goes into the header area of the layout -- whatever is in that field will
not show up.  Check your layout to make sure there is just a touch of
clearance there.  That frustrated me for a long time before I found the
answer.
