Hi Dave,
Sorry for being unclear, I'm actually a bit confused as to why this is
happening, as I can't figure out any reason for it. What they did was take
the neighborhood label on the data entry layout, and change the name of the
label to Borough, so essentially, they only changed the name of a field
label, yet now, when they try to generate mailing labels using the output
function of ebase, the borough line is added to the mailing address. Not
only should this not be happening as it's not a correct mailing address, but
this wasn't happening before they changed the label name.
any ideas?
thanks much,
-arif

I don't understand from your description what the changes were to
originate the problem. Was the data entry layout changed, or a label
layout? Did you change the label of a field, or the field? Or create
a new field called Borough?
One possible idea. When you create a new field in FileMaker, it will
be placed on the current layout (you can turn that option off in the
Preferences if it annoys you as much as it does me). If the field
Borough is new, and it just got dropped onto the layout, go to layout
mode and delete it.
