Sounds like your database might have some problems.  See if you can find 
paperwork for two or three of those recent additions, then check to see 
that (a) their names & addresses are in the database, and (b) their 
payments can still be reached.  If not, then you've either posted those 
people to a different copy of the database than you expected (check dates 
on your backups vs the supposed current data), or your files have been damaged.

A third possibility is that the machine date might have been changed 
somehow, and the people are all in there, but under the wrong dates.
