Barry,

If your CD writer is CD-RW capable, you can buy just a few RW disks and keep
rewriting them, reducing the cost way below the buck or so per disk that a
one-time-only CD-R costs.  I have two media ... I make a backup on one and
take it home.  When I make the next backup and take it home, the first one
comes back the next morning and becomes the next to be rewritten.
