The Delete button calls a script that checks if you are in browse
mode and calls another script.
The second script sets several global field values and jumps you to a
layout where you select a reason for deleting the records an click
another button which calls a third script which copies values to the
"deleted" file and deletes the record.

So you see the problem could be in one of many places - button
definitions incorrect, a layout missing, scripts incorrect. Pretty
tough to troubleshoot without seeing the file.

I'd suggest opening up a fresh copy of ebase and reverse engineering
the process. Go to layout mode, doubleclick the button to see what
it's supposed to do, open the script by selecting the menu item
Scripts>Scriptmaker and editing the specified script, etc. Compare
this to your copy and fix what's different. If this sounds
bewildering, be assured that it is. You'll need to find someone
nearby who can help.
