I have a client with DSL with dynamic addressing. They just
distribute the current IP address by email every morning or whenever
the address changes, whichever comes first. This would also work for
a dialup if the remote location didn't need access very often. Staff
at the remote location would phone or email and ask for the dialup
connection to be established. Once it's up, staff at the host
location would report back with the current IP address. The speed
would be limited to the dialup, of course, since that would still be
the slowest pipe.
