>Hi, > >We're using ebase 1.03 w/ Filemaker 5 on Macs. Does anyone know how to get >the Mac or FMP to recognize ebase as a filemaker document, so I can open >it without Doing Filemaker: Open, etc. ? (This is on the computer >hosting ebase) We are running Mac OS 8.6 Easiest way is to dispose of the runtime application. If the runtime is not present, the Mac will look for FileMaker. The more complex way is to use a resource editor to change the Creator code. The Mac uses Type and Creator resources to determine what application to call when you doubleclick on a document icon. As delivered, ebase files are mapped to Type FMP5 and Creator 1F03. Change it to Type FMP5 and Creator FMP5, at you'll convince the machine that it's a FileMaker file. > >Thanks for your help. > >Jannah Riemer >Cornucopia Community Advocates > >------------------ >Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to >http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter >the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: >[EMAIL PROTECTED] > >To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] >--------------------------------------------------------------------- > ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org >--------------------------------------------------------------------- -- -- Dave Shaw H4 Consulting tel: 206-954-7526 fax: 206-625-1338 ------------------ Reminder to each recipient: To change your list account preferences, go to http://email.sparklist.com/scripts/lyris.pl?enter=support and enter the email address you used to subscribe to the ebase support list:: [email protected] To unsubscribe send a blank email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] --------------------------------------------------------------------- ebase - Relationship Management for Nonprofits, http://www.ebase.org ---------------------------------------------------------------------
