Yolaine,
Are you running ebase from within FileMaker? If you just use the runtime
version of ebase without FileMaker, you won't be able to define fields.
You also must be logged into ebase at a high enough user level to be able to
define fields. Were you logged in as user, admin, or master?

Hello, again
Forgive my novice question here.
I was following the Admin Manual steps for upgrading 1.0.2 to 1.0.3.
I got as far as Page 3-6 #15 "From the pull down menus choose File-> Define
Fields.
I tried all the pull downs and could find no "Define Fields" in 1.0.3.
Is it called something else?
