Hey All,
The replace command is a linear type of scripting language to move around,
correct your records, create new
records based on your information gathered. My only beef is that it appears
to only be accessable when importing
a new database.
If you imagine a grid system with 4 columns and 4 records.
If you wanted the fourth column to be created from the first
and second column you would:
1.click on the fourth column
2.hit replace
3.specific replace
4.column 1 is named firstname. column 2 is named secondname.
5.TYPE: firstname & secondname
6.for 'Each' record on the fourth column new data will be comprised from
column 1 + 2 for each record.
IE:
column1 column2 column3 column 4
record1 hi all hiall
record2 hiyall too hiyalltoo
record3 moo rew moorew
record4 fiom reew fiomreew
