Thank you for the information Dave. Here is some of the background
information :)
I am Using Ebase V1.03, without FMP5.5. Data was exported from MS Access
into Lotus 1-2-3 format, and imported into Ebase using the Admin commands.
* is added info below.

Labels/Envelopes
============

2. Mailing label exports don't seem to export the name
line for some reason.. any ideas? *Mailing labels using
the [Output] -> [File Export] -> [For Mailing Labels] ->
[Tab Seperated Text Files] -> MS Word 2000.
    The Name line [FName, LName] are exported as blank,
    but all other information is exported.

2-[Answer] Not sure what you're saying here. Are you using the
mailing label button on the File Export Options screen? When I do that I get
 dialogs that allow me to specify the name of the file, then what
 fields should be exported. Name Line is in that list. Do you not see
 the list, or is there no data in the field when it's exported?

Importing
======
1. updating matching records in current found set - Part of the admin menu
commands does not seem to import the records. Any ideas? * [Admin] ->
[Screen2] ->
[Import a File into NAMES Table] -> [Import Records From a File] ->
[Update Matching Records in Current Found Set] -> [Match Fields(<=>) to the
Import Record ID with the Primary key of imported data] -> [Import Data(=>)
of imported data
card# to field POSITION] -> [Import] -> [Perform Auto-enter options while
importing] ->
[OK]

    When returned to the Import Menu Form there is no data to import into
ebase, nor does the
    update change/modify/or add new information in the current Names file.
FYI, the POSITION field
    is blank.

1-[Answer] You'll need to give us a bunch more information before any ideas
sprout. I gather that you are attempting to import data by updating
existing records, using buttons on the admin screen. Be very specific
about what you are attempting to do, what steps you take, what
dialogs and screens appear, and how you respond.

Printing Envelopes
============
1. Does anyone know why printing envelopes does not include the ZIP field?*
>From the Home form I
select the Print Envelope button, In the preview it does not: Show the Name
Line(FName, LName), or
the Zip Code. The data has been imported like so:
[Postal Code:] XXX
[ZIP:] XXX
For instance, a postal code of V2L4L4 has been seperated so that Ebase would
show
the data. V2L was imported into the Postal Code field, and 4L4 was imported
into the ZIP4 field.

I am expecting:
<<Business/Org>>
<<Fname>> <<Lname>>
<<Delivery Address>>
<<City>> <<Province/State>> <<Postal Code>> <<Zip4>>

What I am getting:
<<Delivery Address>>
<<City>> <<Province/State>> <<Postal Code>>

1-[Answer] Both the display layout (Envelope #10) and the printing layout
(envelope - portrait) include the merge field zip/postal code on them
in the right place. You'll need to be more specific about what you're
expecting and how the results don't match what you're looking for.

Thank you very much for your assistance ppls. :)
