Just to be sure I understand...

You have donation records in ebase which do not have address and 
contact info, or at least the contact info is outdated. Contact info 
for those same people is in another files.

To be able to update addresses reliably you'll need to establish some 
kind of unique relationship between records in the two files. This is 
the function of the key field in a relational database. I can't think 
of an easy and reliable way to establish that relationship. I suppose 
you could assign record numbers in one file, and manually enter the 
record number in the other file, which would be easier than 
keyboarding the addresses.

Once you have this relationship, you could use the calculated replace 
function in FileMaker, or import/update records, to copy the address 
info into ebase.

If your address file is new people, that is, folks for whom you don't 
already have a record in ebase, you can just import them with the 
ebase import routine.
